Rian Smiling

Hi, I’m Rian – and I’m a Neurodivergent Coach

I’m not here to fix you.

I’m here to walk with you.

That distinction matters more than most people realise—especially in a world where neurodivergent people are constantly being told they need to be corrected, normalised, or reshaped to fit systems that were never designed for them in the first place.

My name is Rian, and I’m a neurodivergent coach with over 14 years of lived and professional experience supporting autistic, ADHD, and neurodivergent adults. I coach from the inside—not from a textbook, not from a checklist, and not from a place of superiority. I coach as someone who has walked this path, stumbled through it, learned the hard way, and built a life that actually works for a neurodivergent nervous system.

Who I Am (Beyond the Labels)

Professionally, I’m a life coach, neurodiversity support specialist, counsellor, and author. I work with adults who are autistic, ADHD, AuDHD, highly sensitive, or who have spent most of their lives feeling “different” without ever having the language to explain why.

Personally, I am autistic, ADHD, and OCD.

That’s not a marketing hook. It’s lived reality.

I know what it’s like to be overwhelmed by noise, expectations, social rules, and internal pressure. I know what it’s like to overthink conversations hours after they’ve ended. I know the deep exhaustion that comes from masking—trying to appear calm, capable, and “normal” while your nervous system is quietly screaming.

And I also know what it’s like to slowly unlearn shame, rebuild self-trust, and design a life that fits you instead of constantly forcing yourself to fit the world.

Coaching From the Inside, Not From a Textbook

Many coaching models are built around neurotypical assumptions: motivation works the same for everyone, consistency is a moral virtue, and mindset fixes everything.

That’s not how neurodivergent brains work.

I don’t coach at people. I coach with them. My approach is grounded in lived experience, nervous system awareness, trauma-informed practice, and practical tools that actually respect how neurodivergent minds function.

This means:

  • We don’t shame executive dysfunction.

  • We don’t pathologise rest.

  • We don’t treat burnout as a personal failure.

  • We don’t pretend that “just try harder” is a strategy.

Instead, we focus on understanding your patterns, your sensory needs, your energy rhythms, and your internal logic. We build strategies that work with your brain—not against it.

14+ Years of Experience, Grounded in Reality

I’ve been working in the coaching and support space for over 14 years. During that time, I’ve supported hundreds of people navigating late diagnosis, identity shifts, burnout recovery, career transitions, relationship challenges, and the grief that often comes with realising how long you’ve been misunderstood.

This work has taught me something essential: neurodivergent people don’t need more pressure. They need permission. Safety. Language. And practical support that honours their nervous system.

I don’t promise transformation in 30 days. I don’t sell hustle dressed up as healing. I offer grounded, honest coaching that meets you where you are and helps you move forward at a pace your system can sustain.

Calm, Grounded, and Quietly Confident

My coaching style is calm and steady. There’s no yelling, no forced positivity, and no emotional manipulation. Sessions are structured but flexible, supportive but honest.

I will validate your experience—but I won’t leave you stuck in it.

I will challenge unhelpful narratives—but never in a way that dismisses your reality.

I believe growth happens when people feel safe enough to be real, not when they’re pushed into performance.

Neurodivergent Coaching Is Not About “Fixing”

If you’re looking for someone to teach you how to mask better, push harder, or tolerate a life that is slowly draining you—this isn’t that.

Neurodivergent coaching is about:

  • Understanding how your brain works

  • Reducing chronic overwhelm and burnout

  • Building self-trust and internal safety

  • Creating sustainable routines and boundaries

  • Reframing identity after diagnosis

  • Learning how to exist without constant self-criticism

You are not broken. You are not lazy. You are not “too much.”

You are wired differently—and different requires different support.

Why Pelati Consulting Exists

Pelati Consulting was created as a space for grounded, ethical, neurodiversity-affirming support. No gimmicks. No spiritual bypassing. No productivity obsession disguised as empowerment.

This work sits at the intersection of psychology, nervous system regulation, lived experience, and practical life coaching. It’s about helping neurodivergent adults build lives that feel livable, not just impressive from the outside.

If You’re Reading This…

You may be tired.
You may be questioning yourself.
You may be realising that the old ways of coping are no longer working.

You don’t need to be fixed.
You don’t need to be pushed.
You don’t need to become someone else.

You need support that understands you from the inside.

That’s the work I do.

Quietly. Steadily. With respect.
